Vitality superstar Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut is the Most Valuable Player of ESL One Cologne 2019 by HLTV.org and betway.

The French youngster secured the award after inspiring Vitality to a runners-up finish in Germany with a tournament-leading 1.33 rating across 17 maps played.

ZywOo was on a 13-map streak of 1.00+ ratings ahead of the grand final, putting up key performances all throughout the French team's lower bracket run in the group stage. He kept up a fantastic level in the playoffs, which included an out-of-this-world 1.87 series rating against NRG and a 1.36 rating versus Astralis, pushing Vitality to the grand final.

Although he recorded his only two below-average maps in the grand final against Liquid, the 18-year-old was still a key performer in the title decider thanks to great play on Dust2 and Inferno. That helped him fend off a threat from Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski, the biggest candidate for the award from the winning side.
